Upcoming: World Design Summit 2017

OPEN DESIGN Team's proposals accepted for presentation

We are excited to announce our acceptance for presentation at the World Design Summit 2017 taking place in Montréal, Canada!

In October of 2017, the first-ever World Design Summit will welcome approximately 4500 attendees from 80 countries around the world. Held at Palais des congrès de Montréal the meeting will unite professionals from six disciplines associated with the built environment: architecture, landscape architecture, graphic design, industrial design, interior design and urban planning. Among other core objectives, one goal of the summit is to establish a renewable international design charter that will promote positive social and environmental change through the use of design.

The congress keynotes are an impressive group of practitioners, thinkers, leaders and rebels covering an international and interdisciplinary background. Amongst Alejandro Aravena (ELEMENTAL, Chile) and Jan Gehl (Gehl Architects, Denmark) there will be a variety of experts and innovators exemplifying the vision of the designer as a creative leader.

Angelika, Ceyhun and Juan will join the conference by presenting two ongoing projects:

We are looking forward to be part of the World Design Summit 2017!

We also acknowledge financial and organizational support of the Cluster of Excellence "An Interdisciplinary Laboratory - Image Knowledge Gestaltung" of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
